Student Services   >   Counsellor

School counsellors work with students, school staff and parents/caregivers to improve student welfare and learning outcomes. They provide counselling and psychological assessment of students with specific needs.

Our counsellors are highly qualified. They have teaching qualifications as well as qualifications in counselling and psychology.

Counsellors can help if students:
  • are gifted or talented
  • are not happy at school
  • are having learning difficulties
  • have difficulties in class
  • have difficulties with behaviour
  • need referral to a community organisation
Parents are able to make an appointment to see a school counsellor by contacting the school. Currently our counsellors Kathy McGuirk and Selene Khourey work at the school on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively. In the event that an interpreter is required, this can be arranged.
