Wrap with Love

Interested students are invited to participate in a community based project throughout 2015.  The project's mission is to provide warm ‘wraps’ to vulnerable people in Australia and around the world to keep them warm against the cold.

If you would like more information please use the following link to go to their website.  http://www.artsandcraftsnsw.com.au/Wrap.htm

'Cold humanity is our concern, people caring about other people.'  There are millions of people in the world suffering extreme cold. In 1992 Wrap with Love began with the idea to help as many people as possible by providing warm Wraps to ward off hypothermia and in the past 20 years we have sent more than 323,000 Wraps to people in over 75 countries, including Australia, with the help of our hardworking and generous volunteers. http://www.artsandcraftsnsw.com.au/Wrap.htm

The students will learn the plain knitting stitch, knit one or more, (if they are keen) square, that will be sewn together, to make a completed wrap which we then donate to the charity.

The ‘Wrap with Love’ club meets one lunchtime a week for instruction, encouragement, fun and satisfaction. It is important that our children feel the pride of working to help others less fortunate. It is not simply a donation of money, but a project that requires commitment, hard-work and perhaps, even the learning of a new skill.
